“I’m still so in love with our day,
and constantly looking at photos
and videos of it. Everyone said
it was just perfect and the
surroundings were stunning.
Thank you so much”
The picturesque St James the Great, a 12th Century church just a short distance from the house where blessings and marriages can take place with prior arrangement, in addition to the licensed ceremony rooms at the venue.
The Orangery is a modern, beautiful stone and glass oak pillared space with a large wood-burning stove and chequered marble flooring. When using The Orangery for your wedding, the hire fee includes the use of this area for either your reception and/or the service for up to 200 guests, more should you choose to extend it. With the inclusion of a lot of glass aspects, the outlooks are stunning, looking both onto the Lake, lawns and The Malverns. Mixing contemporary and traditional the room showcases lots of Oak, local stone and giant checkerboard black and white tiled floor, put to its best use as a guest dancefloor come the evening time!
The Pavilion is a large entertainment and dining space which includes a fitted and well-stocked bar inside. The Pavilion is attached to The Orangery and was built with as many elements as possible to include the outside landscape. The area enjoys fabulous views right across the front area with clear panels which roll-up to feel like you are dining outside. The space has natural, rustic finishes such as sand-stone flooring, sanded wood and metal bar details and comfortable bamboo furniture. The space can be totally changed with dramatic or subtle atmosphere with its very own theatre stage lighting.
Our wonderful estate is surrounded by open green spaces, enchanted woodland and natural private areas which lend themselves perfectly to intimate services and events. Our gardens surrounding the lake are beautifully managed and in peak season our rose arch creates the perfect backdrop to your big day. Our plans for 2020 include the regeneration of our woodland making more space to hold outdoor services and events, and the addition of a glamping area close to our Lakeside Bar.
The Lake is one of the most beautiful spots to be married by. On the lakeside is our very own Rose Arch Walk which is not too far from the Lakeside Bar. The arch was built by the family who owns Oldcastle and is full of roses and wisteria, making it colourful with a gentle balmy scent at different times of the year. The Lake was reinstated completely with fish and feed from and into fresh Malvern water springs through the land. It’s a nature lover’s paradise, full of much wildlife with a view of a Castle Forte when standing at the edge of the Lake.
